Here’s some background on the event from Kathleen Rooney: “I’m a contributing editor to MAKE Literary Productions and we applied for and received a grant from the MacArthur Foundation to do an inter-city cultural exchange between Chicago and Mexico City. Writers and artists from each city teamed up to produce original collaborative work based on the theme of ‘archive,’ and will be presenting the results at the Saturday event in the format of a live literary magazine; next February, the U.S. artists will travel to Mexico to present the work there. My collaborative partner Veronica Gerber Bicecci is reading in the DePaul Visiting Writers Series this Thursday night.” (N.B. That’s tonight!)
