Three Upcoming Chicago Women in Publishing Events

Chicago Women in Publishing (CWIP) will be hosting three upcoming educational and networking events.

The first is an educational program exploring career opportunities in the marketing communication field. Marcom veteran Diana Schneidman, author of Real Skills, Real Income, will discuss the many specialties under the marcom umbrella and review the pros and cons of full-time corporate career versus freelancing.

The event takes place April 19 from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM  at the US Bank Building (40th floor). More online, or on the official press release.

The second event is a seminar on developmental editing for fiction. The event will be led by Jill Walsh, manuscript editor, writing coach, and current CWIP president. The event takes place on April 25 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center. Find out more online.

The final event is one of CWIP’s largest events of the year, their annual Publishing Fair. The fair includes oportunities to network with CWIP members, industry professionals, editors, publishers, authors, agents and more! The fair takes place on May 17 from 5:30-8:30 PM at Roosevelt University.
