The deadline is approaching for the Black River Chapbook Competition from Black Lawrence Press.

The biannual competition accepts unpublished chapbooks of poems or short fiction between 16 and 36 pages in length. The contest is open to new, emerging, and established writers. Winners receive publication, a $500 cash reward, and ten copies of the book.

Spring entry closes May 31st, and entry reopens for the second period on September 1st.
