The John T. Richardson Library is asking English majors to consider applying for a student assistant position in Special Collections and Archives. The position—which has been posted on the Campus Job Board—will close Monday evening, May 4. The NYU Summer Publishing Institute is a four-week introduction to Big Five publishing for students looking to make the move to New York City publishing. You would spend those four weeks living in the NYU dorms and meeting people at Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Hachette, Macmillan, and HarperCollins, and taking classes related to the business of editing and publishing. Grad students who attend this program can earn 4.5 credits they can transfer toward their MFA or MAWP degree. The Luminarts Fellowship Program includes core awards in Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Classical Music, and Jazz Improvisation. Core Fellowships include an unrestricted monetary award of $10,000 – $15,000, depending on the discipline. Once an artist is awarded a Luminarts Fellowship, they are eligible to apply for additional opportunities for a period of 10 years. Applications for the 2026 Editorial Fellowship at A Public Space are now open.
