Chicago Women in Publishing Fall Kickoff Event

Chicago Women in Publishing is hosting a Fall Kickoff event this Friday, September 20th! More information from CWIP here:

Chicago Women in Publishing (CWIP) is excited to announce this year’s Fall Kickoff speaker is none other than Carol Fisher Saller. Until her retirement last year, Carol was best known as the witty and practical voice of the Chicago Manual of Style’s online Q&A. She’s one of the leading voices on style, a creative writer, a successful young adult novelist, and a long-time manuscript editor at the University of Chicago Press.

Register Online Here.

Please join CWIP on Friday, September 20 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at TechNexus (in the same building as the Civic Opera House) for Carol’s introduction to the publishing process. From Yourself to the Shelf will take you on the journey from submission to printed (or digital) product and will prepare you to work capably alongside the pros in delivering your work to readers. Knowing in advance what happens in copyediting and proofreading helps writers understand their responsibilities, manage expectations, and work well with editors.

This event is catered, and there will be libations provided. We will have more details to come regarding our raffle and free swag.
