The Caribbean Chapter of the College English Association (CEA-CC) is accepting paper proposals for its 2015 annual conference, which will take place at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez  March 12–13, 2015. The topic is Disability Studies. As the website states, “We welcome papers that investigate the cultural, social and political interactions of the humanities (arts, language and literature) and technology, as they relate to the conceptualizing Dis/Ability.” Submit an abstract of up to 100 words in the body of an e-mail (not an attachment) by September 30, 2014,  to cea.cc.conference@gmail.com.

CCLaP is currently accepting three types of manuscripts for possible publication: –Full-length commercial novels or works of creative nonfiction, 60,000 to 120,000 words total; –Novella-sized manuscripts of the same type, 20,000 to 40,000 words in length; –And individual stories and essays for inclusion in our monthly magazine, ideally 5,000 to 10,000 words (although shorter and longer submissions are accepted as well).
