The LGBTQ Studies Program’s Creative and Scholarly Works Contest is now accepting submissions! The contest is interdisciplinary and accepts both academic scholarship and creative works in multiple medias addressing a theme, topic, or issue relevant to LGBTQ studies. The Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park is hosting their annual short story contest. The contest is accepting submissions of no longer than 1,500 words. The deadline for Cold Mountain Review’s R.T. Smith Prize for Narrative Poetry is fast approaching, on March 15! The prize awards a narrative poem on ecological and/or eco-justice $500. All submissions will be considered for publication in the spring issue of CMR. Find out more and submit online.

Nimrod International Journal is now accepting submissions to three different contests. Nimrod is accepting submissions of 3-10 pages of poetry. Fiction submissions of up to 7,500 words maximum are also being accepted. No previously submitted works will be accepted. For both of these contests first prize is $2,000 and second prize is $1,000. Nimrod is also accepting submissions to the Francine Ringold Awards for New Writers. Submissions of up to five pages of poetry, or 5,000 words of fiction are being accepted.
