Join in a worldwide effort to transcribe a digitized 17th century manuscript by coming to the Scholars Lab, room 103, in the John T. Richardson Library on Thursday, October 25th from 1:00-5:00pm. The Transcribathon is being put on by the Early Modern Poetry Online Project or EMPOP. DePaul University will be joining the National University of Ireland Galway, Virginia Commonwealth University, Northern Virginia Community College, and The Folger Shakespeare Library in transcribing a miscellany from the Folger that contains guides on fishing, instructions on making fireworks, medicinal recipes, and poetry by Petrarch, Ben Jonson, and William Shakespeare.
