The LAS Graduate Student Conference is happening this Friday! The conference showcases work from graduate students across the university, and is a unique opportunity to see the projects your DePaul colleagues have been working on. Students are especially encouraged to support their fellow English students presenting. During session I from 1:30-2:45, Mihaela Stoica (MAE),  Jordan Weber (MAE), and Katelynn Moxon (MAWP) will be presenting in McGowan South Room 103. Joshua Brown (MAE) will be presenting during session II from 3:45-5:00 in McGowan South Room 105. Take time to celebrate the work of your peers!

The Women’s Center is hosting a Women’s History Month Lecture next month called, “Fee Them All: Defending the Lives of Criminalized Survivors of Violence.” The event takes place on Thursday, March 2nd in Cortelyou Commons at 6:30 PM. Check out more on Facebook. Its the English Department’s favorite time of year! The official call-for-submissions for the 8th Annual Spring English Conference (SPEC) has been released! The Spring English Conference is a unique opportunity for DePaul English students from across the entire department – graduate, undergraduate, creative, literary studies, publishing, major, and minors – to come together and share their work in a friendly, comradely environment. Prof. Paula McQuade is hosting a live reading of Homer’s formative epic The Odyssey on Tuesday, February 21 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm! The event is looking for volunteers to read. If you are interested in participating, or would like more information, contact Prof. McQuade at pmcquade@gmail.com.
