The Group Project is dedicated to giving amateur writers an audience and coordinating fabulous performances. Martin’s Corner Bar in Pilsen hosts 7 Stories the last Friday of every month, and it is far from a conventional reading series. The Journal Celebrates It’s Tenth Annual Contest Black Warrior Review’s tenth-annual contest is now open,  and we’re honored to have Richard Siken (Poetry), Lily Hoang (Fiction/Prose), and Kiese Laymon (Nonfiction) as our guest judges. Winners in each genre receive a $1,000 prize and publication in BWR 41.2, our Spring/Summer 2015 issue. Three runners-up will be awarded $100 in addition to publication.  Each entry is $20 and comes with a one-year subscription to BWR. Description of the Course Graduate student interns are assigned to work with an experienced faculty member at a Chicago-area two-year college.
