The British Modernities Group (BMG) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites graduate students to present papers at its twelfth annual interdisciplinary conference, “Changing the Subject: Subjectivity, Habitus, Behavior, and the End of the Subject.” The conference focuses on bring together work in ontology, literature, philosophy, psychology, and related fields to consider how scholars have responded to and interpreted questions of subjectivity and perception. The Colorado Review is currently running their 2017 Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction. The contest accepts previously unpublished short stories under 50 pages with no limit on number of entries. The contest is open to emerging writers and the 1st place prize includes publication in Glimmer Train, 10-copies of the issue, and $2,500.
