Editors for The Underground and Ex Libris are graduate assistants (GAs) who are responsible for maintaining the English Department’s blogs and social media presence for one to two academic years. We write on behalf of the department, using “we”s and “our”s—but really, there’s just one of us behind each post! It’s an honor working alongside department faculty and staff, and it’s a privilege to post events, opportunities, and important information for our undergrad and grad students.
From the very first GA editors in 2003, to Molly Tranberg (the first editor of the original Ex Libris website), to Maria Hlohowskyj (who founded the department’s Facebook pages), to Josh Fisher (who created the new Ex Libris website), to all the GAs since, The Underground and Ex Libris have enjoyed a long legacy of passion, talent, and care from over two decades of dedicated editors.
