Printers Row Lit Fest is this weekend, June 8th from 10:00a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and June 9th from 10:00a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The largest free outdoor literary event in the Midwest, Printers Row Lit Fest features over 250 authors and 150 booksellers and this year welcomes famed young adult author Judy Blume, celebrity chef Rick Bayless over 250 authors and 150 booksellers. We are excited to announce that Rita Leganski will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Spring English Conference. Leganski is a 2009 graduate of DePaul’s MAWP program, and this February she celebrated the release of her first book The Silence of Bonaventure Arrow, a magical realist tale in the Southern Gothic tradition, which started out as a short story in Dan Stolar’s fiction class. Important reminder for current MAE students: The first Information Session for the Capstone Portfolio Requirement will be held this Saturday, September 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the SAC 232.
