The North American Review is accepting proposals for this summer’s bicentennial conference. The creative writing and literature conference will take place at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls June 11–13, 2015. Students may submit proposals for individual papers, panels (three to four panelists), or roundtable discussions (four to six participants). The submission deadline is February 22, 2015. Wayne State University‘s sixth annual Group for Early Modern Studies (GEMS) graduate symposium welcomes abstracts from humanities graduate students working on the early modern period, broadly defined as 1400–1800. Abstracts should relate to the general theme of “will.” The symposium will take place on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Wayne State University in Detroit. The submission deadline is January 16, 2015. Students may submit their 250-word abstracts to gems.symposium@gmail.com. The American Graduate School in Paris is accepting abstracts for its 2015 conference, The Influence and Role of NGOs in Global Governance: From Grassroots to Global. The conference will take place in Paris April 23–24, 2015. The abstract submission deadline is January 30, 2015, and the final paper submission deadline is March 27, 2015. Students may submit abstracts of up to 500 words to conference@ags.edu as an attachment (Microsoft Word or PDF). For more information, visit the AGS conference website.

The 23rd annual Midwestern Conference on Literature, Language, and Media (MCLLM) at Northern Illinois University is accepting proposals for 15-minute papers from individuals and panels. The conference will take place at Northern Illinois University March 27–28, 2015. This year’s theme is Ctrl, Alt, Delete. The deadline for proposals is January 16, 2015. Graduate students should send their 200- to 250-word proposals to mcllm@niu.edu, including the name, institutional affiliation, email, and phone number of each author. Panel proposals should include a brief overview of the panel’s theme and purpose and a 200- to 250-word abstract for each paper.

Indiana University Bloomington‘s comparative literature department is accepting abstracts for Missed Connections, a graduate student conference. The conference will take place April 10 and 11, 2015. The Illinois Medieval Association is accepting abstracts for its 32nd annual conference, cosponsored by Saint Louis University (SLU). This year’s theme is “Medieval Narratives.” CONFERENCE DATES: February 20–21, 2015 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: Cynthia Robinson (Cornell University) and John Van Engen (University of Notre Dame) DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS:  November 21, 2014 Proposals for both whole sessions and individual papers are welcome.
