Summer Literary Seminars (SLS) has extended the deadline for its 2015 literary contest to midnight tonight (February 17, 2015). The judges for the contest are Aimee Bender (fiction), Philip Graham (nonfiction), and Brenda Shaughnessy (poetry). The winners of this year’s contest will not only garner prizes sponsored by Guernica, Fence magazine, Ninth Letter, and Graywolf Press but will also receive tuition, airfare, and accommodations to the 2015 DISQUIET International Program in Lisbon, Portugal.

Just when you thought DePaul English Graduate Students couldn’t possibly rack up any more awards and accomplishments in just one quarter, Ex Libris is happy to announce two great new pieces of student news: Congratulations to current M.A.E. student Mary Parisoe, whose new one-act play, The Last Vagabond, has won $500 and a reading sometime in the new year at The Arts Club of Washington, DC. Current M.A.W.P. student Jennifer Finstrom has had a poem accepted for publcation in Cider Press Review (either Volume 13 or 14).
