Important reminder for current MAE students: The first Information Session for the Capstone Portfolio Requirement will be held this Saturday, September 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the SAC 232. Now that we’re back from summer break, we’d like to congratulate a few of our alumni and faculty on their summer accomplishments: In faculty news, please join the English Department in congratulating Prof. Hugh Ingrasci on the publication of Robert Penn Warren’s All the King’s Men, a collection of critical essays that he co-edited with the late Michael J. Meyer for Rodopi Press. Prof. Ingrasci helped select the essays and contributed a lengthy introduction for the volume. DePaul’s Visiting Writers’ Program is thrilled to announce an extraordinary literary event this week at DePaul. On Thursday, May 3rd, the celebrated poet Campbell McGrath reads at 6 p.m. in Rosati Room 300 of the John T. Richardson Library. Campbell is the author of nine books, including Spring Comes to Chicago and the recently released In the Kingdom of the Sea Monkeys. This morning, DePaul’s literary journal Threshold announced the winners of the 2012 Threshold Literary Award for Excellence, and we are pleased to say that two of the winners are our own English graduate students.
