DePaul visiting assistant professor Mark Turcotte will be reading at this month’s installment of Sunday Salon Chicago, a free reading series, this Sunday, January 25. The event will take place at Riverview Tavern starting at 7 p.m. The audience will also hear work from Donald Evans, Goldie Goldbloom, Eric May, and Frances McNamara. Join the English Graduate Student Association (EGSA) for its first winter quarter gathering!

Join Native American poet Mark Turcotte, a visiting assistant professor in DePaul’s English department since 2009, for his upcoming in-state readings on November 13 and November 20. The November 13 reading takes place at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Can’t make the trek to our illustrious state capital? The November 20 reading will be closer to home, at Loyola University. See the fliers below for more information.  

Faculty News: One of the duties of Illinois Poet Laureate Kevin Stein is to feature outstanding Illinois poets in order to “highlight the poetic legacy of Illinois and showcase the bevy of fine poets currently writing within the state.” We are pleased to announce that Stein’s most recently selected Featured Illinois Poet is DePaul’s own Mark Turcotte.
