Writers Guild, a multigenre creative writing group housed within the University Center for Writing-based Learning (UCWbL), is hosting its quarterly open mic, Aloud!, this Thursday, May 28, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in SAC 212. Participants are welcome to share their own writing or to read excerpts from work they admire. Writers Guild will supply snacks.

The Writers Guild, part of the University Center for Writing-based Learning’s Writing Groups program, is hosting a student reading next week at the DePaul Student Center. The event, titled “Aloud!,” will take place on Monday, February 11th, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Student Center atrium, and will feature poetry, fiction, and essays by undergraduate and graduate students in the DePaul English department who have been participating in the Writers Guild. Today we have two announcements from our friends and classmates at the University Center for Writing-based Learning about some great new opportunities to improve your writing– and your student organization– this Winter Quarter. Now that Winter Quarter is underway, it’s time for the return of The Writers Guild, DePaul’s student creative writing group! The Writer’s Guild meets every Wednesday from 7:30-9pm in the Arts & Letters lobby on the Lincoln Park campus.
