The fourteenth Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize is open for submissions. Anyone over the age of 18 who has not already published more than one full-length poetry collection may submit. CALYX is looking for new and emerging poets from different demographics. The winner will receive $300 cash and publication in CALYX Journal Vol. 31:2, Winter 2019. Three runners-up will receive a one-issue subscription and publication on the CALYX website. The contest runs from now through June 30, 2018 and is open to any theme or subject. Twice each year Black Lawrence Press will run the Black River Chapbook Competition for an unpublished chapbook of poems or short fiction between 16-36 pages in length. The contest is open to new, emerging, and established writers. The winner will receive book publication, a $500 cash award, and ten copies of the book. Prizes are awarded on publication.
