Call for Submissions From a New Press Started by a DePaul Alum

Introducing Lillet (pronounced lee-lay after the French aperitif, that stimulates the appetite). Lillet publishes chapbooks. Prose, poetry, sketch/comedy scripts, some combination, or some new genre you’ve invented.  Their first open reading period is open from NOW until May 1. Submit on their website: lilletpress.com There is no reading fee or set number of manuscripts selected for publication this round 50 pg max. Nonfiction Writing Tournament. Prompt: If I were truly free...

The Nasiona is seeking submissions for a micro-nonfiction/poetry writing tournament. Submissions must be non-fiction stories about your life (ie. micro-memoir). DISQUIET

Submissions are now open for the DISQUIET Literary Prize! This contest is for writing in any genre, by a writer who has not published more than one book. The winners in each genre (nonfiction, fiction, poetry) will be published. The grand prize winner will receive a full scholarship including tuition, lodging, and a $1,000 travel stipend to Lisbon in 2021. Writing Opportunity

Miracle Monocle is a journal of innovative literary and visual art funded by the University of Louisville. The winner of this new award series will receive a $200 prize and publication in the journal. Poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and experimental/hybrid literature are all welcome. Writers must identify as Black and be 25 years of age or younger. Entry to the competition will be free and facilitated through Duotrope’s new Duosuma system. Submissions will re-open in January. George Mason University’s journal, So To Speak, is a feminist publication of language and art, and is seeking submissions or poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and art from various perspectives and backgrounds.
