In this 14th year of the Miller Audio Contest, The Missouri Review is excited to announce a reimagining of the competition: the contest is now open year-round and 12 finalists from each of our four categories will be featured throughout 2021 on the new Miller Aud-Cast. Submit to the C.D. Wright Emerging Poet’s Prize! The grand prize includes $1,000 and publication (as well as an Editor’s Choice Prize of $250 and publication). This year, the contest is being judged by none other than Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Jericho Brown. Any submissions sent in by 11:59 pm on February 12th will be given feedback and then have a chance to edit and resubmit their piece. The Nasiona is seeking submissions for a micro-nonfiction/poetry writing tournament. Submissions must be non-fiction stories about your life (ie. micro-memoir). DePaul literary magazine Crook & Folly is hosting an open mic reading on Thursday, April 16. The reading will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Room 115 of Richardson Library.
