MAE Student Diana Anderson

I was hired after the first of the year as a Writer/Editor at Argonne National Laboratory, run by the Department of Energy. Argonne conducts leading-edge basic and applied scientific research to provide clean and safe energy solutions. Argonne is working to achieve the vision set by President Barack Obama and Energy Secretary Steven Chu: an economy based on renewable energy, free of dependence on foreign oil and with a greatly reduced carbon footprint. My role is to develop and implement laboratory-wide safety and sustainability communications programs. I also write for Argonne’s daily e-newspaper and Argonne’s management blog, and I direct and produce videos for laboratory consumption.

Dr. Sirles helped me prepare for my interview with Argonne National Laboratory – thank you again, Dr. Sirles! The interview went very well. I was prepared and made a very good presentation of my job skills. This job really is a dream come true for me. I couldn’t be happier!
