The DePaul Career Center, Office of Multicultural Student Success (OMSS), University Center for Writing-based Learning, and the Library Learning Commons are proud to announce this quarter’s Professional Development Night, which will be held on Wednesday, May 25th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The Think-Write-Publish Science and Religion Project is currently offering twelve $10,000 two-year fellowships. Fellows participate in three intensive workshops focusing on developing, writing, marketing, and publishing their creative nonficiton stories about harmonies between science and religion. Submissions for the Luminarts Fellowship for excellence in creative writing are due this Friday, May 6th. Writers submit two pages of stand-alone work or an excerpt in categories of poetry or prose and have the opportunity to win $5,000. Applications are due on April 22 for the 2016 Mailer Poetry Fellowship. Hosted by The Norman Mailer Center and The Norman Mailer Writers Colony, the fellowship this year will take place July 9 to July 31 at the prestigious Pepperdine University campus in Malibu, California. Crook & Folly, DePaul University’s award-winning, all-student, journal of literature and art, seeks applications from graduate and undergraduate students for two positions as 2017 Editors-in-Chief. The new editors will begin work planning for the new year late this Spring 2016 and will hire their section editors during Fall quarter 2017.
