The faith-based Direct Action & Research Training (DART) Center is hiring community organizers interested in social justice. AWP is offering three scholarships of $500 each to emerging writers who wish to attend a writers’ conference, center, retreat, festival, or residency. The contest will accept entries via Submittable through March 30, 2015. This year’s judges are Xu Xi for creative nonfiction, Matt Bell for fiction, and Sandra Beasley for poetry.

Nonprofit arts organization Chicago Artists Resource is looking for a web intern. The unpaid internship requires a time commitment of 15–20 hours per week for six months. The Guild Literary Complex is hiring a project coordinator for Brooksday, an annual event honoring Pulitzer Prize–winning Chicago poet Gwendolyn Brooks. The Group Project is looking for storytellers, musicians, and other artistic collaborators—such as dancers, actors, illustrators, comedians, and journalists—for its next 7 Stories show. The multimedia performance will take place at Martin’s Corner Bar (2056 West 22nd Place) on Monday, February 23, at 8 p.m.  TGP is also offering three-month internships.
