The Missouri Review Announces the 2021 Perkoff Prize

Submit Your health-related Fiction, Poetry, and Non-fiction by March 15

The Missouri Review is excited to announce the re-vamping of the Perkoff Prize, the original benefactor of which, Dr. Gerald Thomas Perkoff, was Professor Emeritus at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.  This year, the contest is open for submissions in fiction, nonfiction and poetry; entries are sought that engage in evocative and compelling ways with health and medicine. One winner in each genre will be published in the Missouri Review and will receive $1000 and publication. As with our Editors’ Prize in the fall, all entries are considered for publication.

The $15 standard entry entitles the entrant to a 1-year digital subscription (regularly $30), while the $30 All-Access entry grants you access to a decade of our digital issue archive, complete with audio recordings of the features.

They are looking for entries in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, and the deadline is March 15, 2021. Click here to learn more.
