SLAB is announcing a final call for fresh voices to publish in their literary magazine. SLAB is published annually by the English Department of Slippery Rock University, and they are currently seeking entrants for the Elizabeth R. Curry Poetry Contest. Kathy Fagan will be the judge for this year and the first-place winner will receive $600, publication in SLAB, and a limited edition, hand-bound chapbook of the winner’s poetry. There is a $10 reading fee and the deadline is December 1st. If you have any questions or would like a sample issue, please email  <slabstaff@gmail.com>

F(r)iction is now accepting submissions for their Winter Literary Contests! F(r)iction is accepting previously unpublished works of short fiction, flash fiction, and poetry. They accept submissions from writers located anywhere in the world, as long as the work is in English. Their editorial staff favors stories that celebrate the weird, take risks, and are driven by a strong, unique voice. The Crambo is accepting submissions! The Crambo welcomes submissions of poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, screenplays, cartoons, short graphic fiction, and visual art.
